Root Root help

Ok. It's been awhile. I posted in the wrong section...lol. I want to root my Note 1 I717 with Jellybean 4.1.2.

I know how to use Odin and such but I'm not sure if it still works with Jellybean because it was designed to work on ICS. So I don't know if the rooting and Roming methods have changed.

If they have can you guys give me the skinny on whats what? I want to root and put CM 10 on here because this Jellybean update has seriously killed my phones performance and it's pissing me off....lol

Ok. Great. I do have these files. I just wasn't sure if the root and Rom method changed for the Jellybean. I was gonna flash the Avatar Rom. Any thoughts on this one?

EDIT: Looks like I will be going with the AOKP instead.

I like AOKP and Avatar looks good but I like JB Sandwich because of its smoothness
