Root root / linux help

Hi,

I'm trying to root my dhd but not getting very far. I have the latest aahk and have read the effin manual many times but can't get the kit started.

I'm using ubuntu live cd, and have found the terminal.

The kit is extracted to the root of both my 2 internal disks. One data and one ide.

I can navigate the terminal to the aahk directory but can't get the script to run because of permissions? How do I sort this out?

I can run it in windows but I've read the chance of failure is a lot higher and I don't want to mess it up.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What permission problems are you having? Are you using the sudo command before you run the script in the terminal?

If you can get some screenshots or paste the terminal output here that would be helpful

Hi, thanks for the reply but I sorted this now.

All I did was got the ubuntu version before and it gave me no permission errors. Full downgrade, done and I'm now rooted and running custom Rom. Happy days.
