Root Root my dna verizon

Currently, the only way to root the DNA is to run moonshine and achieve s-off.

Htc official unlock does not work thanks to Verizon.

Once you have s-off it is easy to install a custom recovery with which you can install superuser or flash roms.

Yes you can get CM10. But I would encourage you to explore the other options for ROM's out there. I'm running NOS m7 and I love it. The other more popular ROM out is Viper Rom by Team Venom. It has the most features and by far the most customizable ROM out to date.

I will give it a try Sunday. Just one more question. Once the Moonshine does its thing Do I need to get the Boot loader? Then I can flash the Rom correct?

I don't remember clearly offhand but I do believe that you have to install the bootloader. I prefer TWRP over CWM. But only on this DNA. After that just pick your ROM load it up and flash away.

Could anyone post a step by step process for both actions. I just want to be 100%. I have rooted before. My old Verizon S3. It was simple. I'm having a hard time with this phone. Thanks for any help

Your best bet if you want to be totally sure, is to get on youtube and type in what you want. Watch the videos that are out there by guys like droidmodderX, reverend kyle, and some others. These are the main stay names that I have found that their work and videos are the best. Posting the method on here step by step wouldn't give you the full picture. I always use videos after reading all that I can read. Hope this helps!
