Root Root new 2.1 update

has anyone managed to root their optimus after downloading the new "official" 2.1 update?

i tried using universal androot like i did when i was running 1.6 but it didn't work

nevermind i found a tool that let me root it over at MoDaCo:Root LG GT540 with 1 click running 2.1 OS - Android @ MoDaCo

ok, can you help me?! i have been trying it for somedays but it says device not connected...

ye sure, make sure your phone is in "USB Debugging" mode before connecting it and then try if that doesn't work try it with USB Mass Storage activated.
