Root Root NOT working~

I went to the stickies page and tried the root program. It does not work on my Droid X 2.3.3.. I do not have superuser installed I have boot loader .04. I have all the updated moto drivers and it was in USB debubbing/charge mode.


OK, I run the app from my windows and it says, "running files 1 of 3", it loads and says in the next line, "Rebooting..." this is where it freezes. After it reboots, the app and the phone freeze in Bootloader.. whats happening here??

I tried the "trick" where it reboots and i unplug the USB cable so it can avoid freezing in bootloader and the Root program begins to work again, saying, "2 of 3, rebooting..", unplug, manual reboot, plug, "3 of 3, congratulations, your phone should be rooted"..

..BUT NOPE~ not rooted..

Which os version are you trying to root? .602 or .605? The droid 3 one-click only roots those two versions.

I'm guessing that it is because you are in USB charge mode. I don't remember which mode I used, but I'm pretty sure that it wasn't charge mode.

I rooted mine in charge mode and it works just fine. I had the same problem where it freezes on the first reboot. I just reboot my computer and my phone and tried again. Everything worked after that.
