Root Root on FRG83D

thanks -- I had seen your post in that thread. Like you, I hadn't seen much concrete info on rooting stock FRG83D.
 
I have a droid FRG83D 2.2.1 and a Mac and I'd like to get root access so I can get wifi. I did a search and found how to for windows but no mac. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks
 
I'm attempting to root from FRG83D. Even when I change the directory to the tools directory, I get a message 'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

I installed the drivers using MotoConnect and I'm using a Windows XP machine installed on Boot Camp on a Mac.

Any ideas?

FYI, for those interested, I upgraded to FRG83D and then used the instructions in the thread below to restore root and everything seems to be working as expected. I can confirm that all my root apps work and I can get a root shell in the terminal emulator app.

I thought I'd post since I hadn't seen anyone post about successfully rooting FRG83D yet.

I rooted successfully with Super one click

[APP]SuperOneClick v1.5.5 (Root, Unroot, Enable Non-Market App, Get UNLOCK code) - xda-developers
 
i used pdanet to install the drivers on my laptop windows 7.....superoneclick to root and rom manager to install the rom and kernel
