Root Root on mac?

Hey everyone. I searched here and on Google and I can't find a thing. Does rooting my Moto Droid 2.1 on a mac work differently than on a PC? I need to downgrade to 2.01 and then root, but I need to know how to do it on my iMac if it is indeed different. Thanks for the help.

RSD Lite does not work on a mac only windows. I have read at least one person that did it on a windows emulator but that could very easily lead to permanently bricking your phone so I would not suggest it. Find a friend with a windows pc is your best bet

Can't partition the hard drive when it's almost totally full, lol. I've already got an external in route but I'll just use the Acer for my root. Thanks guys.
