Root Root or not - SGY

Hi guys

my samsung galaxy Y

Android version - 2.3.6
Kernel version - 2.6.35.7
Build number - GINGERBREAD.DXLE1

now my dilemma is that i want to root but I AM AFRAID to do it. why?
because i might break my own phone, and i might never get it back.
WHY DO I WANT TO ROOT? because i want to maximize my phone, i want to play HD games on it, i want to maximize battery life, i want to do extra ordinary stuff on my phone, like its PERSONALIZED/CUSTOMIZED or something.

I have read some ROOTING INSTRUCTIONS online, and they make it look soooo freakin easy. also i think i will UNROOT it if necessary.

NOW, my main problem is that im having cold feet, i cant decide!

HELP me guys, i really want to play HD games. hahahahahhaha

for me i will not do that.. ahaha ... when i root my galaxy y there is a problem... then i go to samsung service center... to repair my phone... i don`t wanna do that again.. root the galaxy y
