My new favorite app (Thanks to Slayer72) - My Apk

APK Multi-Tool for windows is pretty sweet. In all my time with Android, I don't think I've come across a program that has helped me out more, or been used as frequently.

1.titanium backup-w/o it id be so screwed on all my games and apps lol,2.Not really a app that everyone might have, but Button Savior,it puts all the buttons that the phone has right on the screen.

for me its a new found app elixir 2 widgets...it allows you to have a grid of multiply widgets...you can choose to use their widgets or shortcuts you can also add toggles your apps or shortcuts totally customizable...you can even set the parameters for one click action for individual icon ....i personally have mine set up to have battery, internal storage, external storage, cpu usage, ram usage and my one end all task killer shortcut..each of icons set to open different things

edit: this is a free app here is link

does sixaxis work on our phone

ya know i didnt even think of that lol

EDIT: i just ran the compatibility checker and it said that it is supported. i dont actually own a ps3 otherwise id take the chance and buy the app to make sure lol

DroidWall, it's a free app that allows you to limit certain apps access to either 3g or wifi, good for making games have no Internet access, or if you want like Facebook to just have wifi, but not 3g access (I'm not sure if this supports 4G limiting, I don't think so though).

avast's android app also comes wth a firewall feature as well as a feature that allows you to call your phone and wipe it in the event of theft. comes with a relatively straightforward heurostic (sp?) malware scan as well as checks for PUPs etc but unless they fixed it, it is pretty heavy on the battery. i have said previously tho that the attack surface on smart devices is still too small to worry about malicious code. but it is the only root required av that i know of for those who want that extra layer of security

Yup are phone is definetly supported!! I use a PS3 controller to play diablo on fpse emulator all the time!!!

now that wwe have this confirmed i think there is a way to send video to a tv via a usb to hdmi adapter. i know you can with the galaxy s3 anyway so with that said who wants a playstation or N64 in their pocket?

I'm using Avast and haven't noticed any battery drain so I guess they fixed it.

One of my favorite apps is "Better Battery Stats". If rooted it has an alarms section which basically tells you what apps are waking up your phone from deep sleep. For example, Avast has woke my phone 3 times today.

i had an issue with battery drain a few months back when i was still on 2.3.4 and after freezing and unfreezing a few apps i felt might have been the culprit(s) i ended up with avast being it. at the time i was going thru 10-15% battery per hour and afte i got rid of it it dropped to 1-2% and improved even more since the 2.3.6 update. unless malware becomes more of an issue im gonna go without it though i still do promote avast on androids one of the best solutions for combating malware. and its more then likely that they fixed the battery leak by now

I tried AirDroid (free from market), and about the only thing that didn't seem to work was using it to capture a screenshot, which is what I wanted it for.

im testing out team viewer right now..its not bad little getting use to im basically wanting it so i can control utorrent at work cuz i forget to download dexter monday mornings before i go to work

xaelith hows ur guide coming along? I can only imagine painful when i updated mine took all day...you got a manual to write lol

i had team viewer (i think) set up and other then some video lag issues it seemed to work fine. been meaning to set up airdroid or team viewer to i can access my computer while at school

So my review on team viewer heres link its a great app for home pc control away from home for those who dont know allows remote access on your phone. You have full control of your pc on phone. You can transfer files from pc to phone and vice versa. You need to install free team wiewer exe for pc it supports the following windows(im windows 7) mac and linux, website link here . Definitly worth checking out.

been messing around with teamviewer and i gotta say the feature that shines above all else is the file sharing. i dont have it on my phone yet but its on my tablet and right now i have my Linux computer and my Windows 7 computer set up with it. they are actually the same computer but dual boot. when i get the chance im going to set up my Windows XP computer and basically run it as a file server for the rest of my network for me and the wife and with teamviewer i can access files anywhere on the planet. once i get it set up with my hone its gonna essentially be like having a 2 terrabyte hard drive in my pocket. thats pretty freaking epic :P

I have teamviewer on all my machines, but on my tablets I also have splashtop...

Why? Because it will stream sound from my computer to my tablet (teamviewer doesnt), meaning that I can remotely start a movie on my computer and watch it on my tablet ;)
