Just use the most current firmware and search for the latest version of "motochopper" on xda developer forums. It will work for this phone even though it is not made for it. After that you can add cwm and the kernel and such

OK I am using motochopper It have the same problem like when i used spririted away :

When i press enter nothing come up. Is there something wrong with my phone?

Sounds like it can't find the file adb.exe. Do you see it in the folder that you extracted the rooting files into?

If so, are you double-clicking from within Windows to run it? If yes, try opening a Command Prompt window and use cd commands to change into that folder from the command prompt and run it from there.

Could be a driver problem too. I know it took a long time for adb to be able to find my phone. I had some other phone driver that thought it was for the lucid 2. Try uninstalling all phone drivers then plugging the phone in and letting it do its thing. Also try all the different charging modes.

Also, Did you upgrade back to the latest firmware? I'm not sure but mottochopper may only work on the newest firmware

Is the rooting files in the Motochoppe firmware? Where can I find it?
I just download the Motochoppe firmware. Duple click on it and click on run.bat. I did not see the rooting files in there."monochopped.zip".

I think that is part of the problem. If you just double-click on run.bat, it probably doesn't know where to find the other files. Let's say you extracted all the files into a folder called motochopper on your desktop.

Open command prompt, type:

cd c:\users\yourname\desktop\motochopper
run.bat

"yourname" would be whatever your name on your computer is.

I Just did it come up with

Huh weird... I'm no expert by any means, and it seems like the more knowledgeable people have left us alone... But anyway, here is a method that almost certainly will work (though it might be a little excessive:

Factory reset AND do the unbrick/unroot method on this forum.

Ota update to latest firmware (before anything) and turn USB Debugging on.

Try a different computer if possible, if not Search in your computer for all the drivers that have to do with lg or android phones then delete them. Now plug the phone in and let the installer reinstall the drivers.

Delete motochopper off your computer and redownload (in the case of corrupt files) and put it in a folder somewhere like c:\moto.

Now give it a shot when running motochopper as an administrator.
If it fails, switch your phone to a different mode (camera to mpt or whatever) and try again.
If that doesn't worK, try PMing some of the guys who worked on developing (many of them posted in this topic)

Hope this helps, sorry if not....

I saw on Google you can also get the "adb server is out of date. killing..." message if something else is using adb, like HTC Sync. Do you still have software for another phone installed perhaps? Some posts about this error, some people have said it's just a nuisance and the adb functions actually worked.

Also, are you sure you're not rooted? Kind of looks like the Spirited Away process might have worked despite the error msgs.

I just did Ota update to latest firmware then try running motochopper this time is work. Now my phone rooted. Thank you all for your help and respond.

When I type su into terminal it says su not found

I did all the steps exactly.

is it cause I tried another program first?

HELP plz

I have windows 8 so i was wondering if someone has found a way to make it work with that. My problem is that everything fails to copy. For everything meant to install it says
"failed to copy 'name of thing here' to system/whatever: Read-only file system.
I was wondering if someone can confirm it is because of windows 8 or am i being stupid and not doing something i need to. Debugging is on, all drivers are up to date, have it connected. Anyone?
