Root Root & ROM after upgrade to build .30

Hi

Just got my TF300T, but accepted the offered firmware upgrade before researching rooting so now on build .30.

I'm quite used to rooting other devices (Desire and then a One X) and installing custom ROMs. Looking for a vanilla ROM (preferably Jelly Bean), but there seems to be a lot more choices with this device, and I don't want to do the wrong thing and brick it!

Lots of varying advice threads on here, XDA, etc. Please could someone point me in the right direction?

As of right now, the only real options are CM10, Baked Blackbean or Hydro. It depends on what you are looking for. If you want the AOSP-esque experience then CM10/BB would be the way to go. If you want an optimized (ASUS) stock experience then Hydro would be best for you.

Like anything else YMMV. Give it a go for yourself and report back. Whatever you do, don't take the OTA to Jellybean.

CM10 > CM9, just an imo. Give it a try - can't go wrong.
