First, put your phone in download mode, starting with the phone powered off press and hold the volume down+power button, when you see the caution screen press volume up to go to download mode, then open Odin and connect your phone, if you've got everything right you'll see a blue or yellow comm# box and it will say added in the dialogue box, if you've got this click the AP or PDA button, whichever you see depending on the version of Odin you have. Then go to where you put the stock tar and select it, then when you're back at the Odin screen press start. Make sure the phone is fully charged before starting. Let it flash and then you'll get a green PASS and the phone will reboot, it will be slow on the first boot, let it load then get signed in to your phone then you're ready for cydia impactor.

You shouldn't have to change any of those, the default settings will do just fine, just select the tar file then click start.

What do you mean it didn't work? What did you get when you ran Odin?

Are you sure you downloaded the right file? What all did it say during the whole process, not just the last thing it said when you ran Odin?

Extract the file then start over with the extracted file, you've got to extract it to remove the last extension from the file then it should flash.

What is the last extension on the file you downloaded? If it had .md5 then the extraction will make it a .tar which is the format the file needs to be in.

I just checked the link before I asked you about it and when the file is coming through it is a .tar.md5 not a zip. You didn't get the right file

Does it say .tar.md5.zip, if so then try renaming the file and remove the .zip, that's only if the file is 1.18GB
