I have been thinking about rooting for the past couple of weeks not but one thing that has stopped me is figuring out all of the terminology involved. So I did some searching and found this post over on droidforums.net and thought I would repost it here. Seems pretty helpful and answered a lot of my questions. I hope this helps some other people as well.
