I was looking for some advice. I have a stock Captivate, and will eventually root. I do not know if I will change ROM's and all that but will root and get more control for different apps, etc.
I have helpd off waiting for the GPS fix and 2.2. I do not see the point in rooting today and a fix coming next week or whatever and having to unroot and take it back to stock to get it.
I guess I want to understand from people why they root with this coming up and stuff. I am not saying its a good or bad idea, just saying maybe I dont get it fully and for those of us who are new to all this could you explain why we would want to with all these changes looming?
