No idea, everything on my phone works. Ask about it on the other site where the program is posted, maybe they might know, or you could do a hard reset as described on this link Hard Reset - Revolution™ by LG

Then get the update to GB, reboot the phone AFTER you verify the wifi is working, then apply the root and recheck.

I got the update, then did as the link said... the computer seems to not recognize my phone, because after I installed the USB drivers, then unzipped the file and tried to run the batch file (phone was in USB debugging, was connected to my computer with Internet Connection selected), the window kept giving me an error that"adb is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file".

UPDATE: I tried unzipping to a new file, that seemed to let the batch work, but I can't really tell if I'm rooted now or not. How can one tell?
UPDATE: rebooting helps... I was able to install Titanium Backup and was granted root. Yay!

Yeah, I forgot to update... been too busy giggling like a madwoman while uninstalling Verizon bloatware and anything with "bing" in the name!

Ok, I tried this and here is what I got on my screen

"Waiting for device...
* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *

Then I just have a flashing cursor. What am I supposed to do next? I do not have superuser installed.

Worked great, the only place in the process that was a bit confusing was the USB mode for Internet and "connect the phone to the PC" instruction. Does this mean to setup a "tether" or just connect the cable?

Anyway not a big deal, what ever I did (I don't even remember now) it worked the first time.

Thanks

steve

How or where do I get the Gingerbread update for the REVO. I used the link above to root my revo with 2.2.2 How can i get my hands on 2.3 Ive been at this for days now

Thanks for the link! This is my first android phone and i am still in the learning process when is comes to all this rooting stuff. I got it rooted...now for the rom loading. Which is yet still a area I need to do some more snooping. Any hints/links that would help me continue this learning process?

Not really. Just haunt the forums and google like crazy for keywords like LG Revolution or VS910 and ICS. Good luck.
