Help root

hi someone send me the link to install root in my phone z4root.1.3.0.apk, but i dunno what to do after installation. i click on root nothing happen just phone restarted twice ...

Thats normal, and now when you run Z4 you should have the option to unroot. What were you expecting to happen?

Install a file a file manager like Astro, find where you've put it on your sd card, install.

after rooting with Z4 just install, titanium backup or busybox...if it does then you're rooted.

Busy box and titanium should say that your rooted when you launch them and yes if titanium backup works then you are rooted.

I'm a newbie to rooting, need some assistance to root my x10i. I just got it and already upgraded it to Android 2.1.

The Z4 does not work on my x10i, I've tried temporary and permanent root but it doesn't work. Detail info as below :-

Firmware Version : 2.1-update 1
Baseband Version : 2.0.49
Kernel Version : 2.6.29
Build Number 2.0.2.A.24

Any suggestion?

i dont think there is a way to currently root your version, you would most likely have to downgrade the software then install a custom rom such as X10iUsers Emminence ROM

+1. None of the methods work with .24,so you'll need to flash back to 504 and go from there.
