Root ROOT!!!!

i was looking at the all things root guide for your phone here on AF and didnt see any rom's or kernels available at this point. if your a developer you can start creating custom stuff for the phone or use some apps that require root access? G.L
 
Well, yes, I know. I am trying to help with the peocess of making/flashing a custom recovery for custom roms to come. As far as I can tell no one has been able to root this thing yet to get system dumps, etc. I am about to get a dump up here soon. Idk what else to do to get devs what they need.

Well can u start by telling us how did u root da phone or make a one click script to root da phone if I may please an thank u I'm pritty shur it would start da developing faster if more people had rooted phones =]

In order to get developer support you need to a learn the system yourself and start development or work towards getting another developer over here.
At this time there doesn't seem to be alot of active users so it may take time to get the development up and running

I didn't develop this root method, I merely discovered that it worked on my own sequent. In all honestly if you dont know what your doing with a simple root (warning to everyone) you probably shouldn't be messing with this phone yet. We are still at tinkering stage where if you try whatever you see here, you could very easily make a brick out of your phone.
 
Yeah exactly what I was thinking. If you can't get this to work you have no business rooting your phone there is no real recovery or roms to flash to fix your phone. I'm not a developer but I understand the potiental for disaster. Followed by questions flooding every forum please help I don't understand why my phone won't boot.
 
yes indeed. I feel bad about even suggesting what I did but in reality this isnt even work in progress, this is step zero. I have never developed either but i know some unix, I am well versed in the functions and files of these devices. It helps to know what you are doing. Just remember people there is nothing you can do with "root" yet as a general user. We are working on the good stuff. Thanks.
