Root Rooted 3G downgraded to 1.6 I cannot install ROM Manager... HELP!

HELP! I rooted my MyTouch 3g and downgraded to 1.6 as my 2.2.1 was EXTREMLY SLOW! I put in a ROM (DWANG V 1.12), everything went well. However I want to Flash Cyanogen 6.0. I lost my ROM Manager that I had installed from the Market and now it will not let me install it (says it's installed on the market page), says my phone is not compatible but it let me purchase and install the premium which does me no good without the free version on my phone. Can i use another ROM program from the Market to flash? Sorry, I'm kinda new to the flash thing. Do I need to find a way to re-upgrade to 2.2.1 to be able to flash the Cynogen 6.0? Thanks!!
