Rooted Already?!

[Fabolous]

Just saw this on Twitter. Birdman is a pretty well respected dev. Let's hope it's true!

anonymous source: droid x is rooted

Awesome if it's true. My mouth is already watering.

I wonder how long till it's rooted and has vanilla froyo loaded with unlocked free tethering?

Question is how were they able to get it rooted so quick (if it's really already rooted)?

Here's what a insider on the HoFo forums said

"Its a fake.basically he thinks he can root it easily in.hopes it shares similar characteristics as another device.he is strongly mistaking.
And if he thinks he is right thence he would also know it pings a server silently and gathers a report.so let's sit back and see what elevates from.said quote."
