Root Rooted and the update

So my brothers Optimus M is 2.2 and is rooted. He asked me if he does the upgrade to 2.2.1 will he still be rooted. I didn't see anything on the forums about this so any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It will not be rooted anymore and will be more difficult to root. There its no real reason to do that upgrade.

Thanks UK, I was 99.9% sure that was the case but always good to be 100%.
