I just DL'd "Wireless Tether" From the local Market.

YAY!!!!!!!

Works like a charm. Barnacle and a couple others were lame-o's but this WORKED!

There are situations where one might want to do that. Consider that you are in the middle of nowhere and you need internet, but you have a metro connection. In that situation, slow speed is better than no connection. Granted, most people will never be in this situation but I suspect the OP is not most people.

I installed it just for Disney vacations. I copy my pics from my DSLR nightly to my laptop. If I want to share any to friends and family while I am there I need an internet connection for the laptop. Disney charges $10/day at all their resorts, which is a ripoff for uploading a few pics.
