Root Rooted MIKG but lost apps and sms

I don't know what I did wrong but before installing new rom, I save my apps and sms on the apps that was recomended on this site( app list backup and sms backup and restore). How can I recover those apps and sms. My pictures and contacts are fine.

go into the market and download those apps. after they are installed then run a restore on those apps. the app list is just that though. it does not really back anything up. it just keeps track of what apps you have. also i would recommend that you purchase titanium backup and the titanium backup pro from the market. they are essential now that you are rooted. it backups up your apps and its data. you can even make a flashable zip of it so that if you flash another rom you can just flash it in the same recovery session so that there is no need to download it from the market.

How do you run a restore on an individual app.

that depends on what app you are using. in titanium backup there is a tab at the top called backup and restore. from there you can individually pick your apps to restore. also you can do a batch restore as well and still pick individual apps to choose to restore as well.
