I finally rooted my Hero and even removed some of the bloatware, too. 
Now, what's next?
I see some cool looking ROMs, but I'm a newb. A super, uber-newb.
I hated having to re-install all my apps from market after the rooting (I had to reflash 2.1 from .6 to .5 because I had done the update). Was there a better way?
If I flash a cool new ROM, will I have to re-install everything the hard way, or is there an easy way?
I'm lazy!
Any other suggestions on how to take advantage of my freshly-rooted Hero are appreciated, too!
