Root Rooted or Not?

I rooted my desire last Thursday last night I tried to flash a ROM which went wrong, so to rectify it I had to do a factory re-set. Having done that I lost the symbol that says Super User, but it still asks for Super User permission, so I am not sure rooted with unrevoked 3.2

Try booting into recovery (power + vol down)

If you boot into clockworkmod recovery then you're rooted. A factory reset should not have lost you root if done via unrevoked.

Did you take a nandroid backup before you flashed the rom? If so try restoring from it - assuming clockwork is there

Download an app that can only be used when rooted and try it out, if it works then you're rooted!
