Root Rooted OTA Update Issue

My Droid 3 is rooted and I received the OTA notification. It downloads fine, reboots the phone, and begins to update. About 1/3 the way to update, the Android turns into an Exclamation point and reboots. Once back to home screen I get an Update Failed error.

Here is what I did so far:

-Defrosted all apps then rebooted
-Restored all system apps with Pete's One Click Root
-Pulled Battery for 5 min
-Factory Reset Phone

After each of these steps I tried to install the update and same thing. Will not get past 1/3. Any suggestions?

I am having the exact same issue. Didn't work, so I unrooted with Pete's Motorola Root Tools (same tool I used to root). UnRoot was successful, so I tried it again, and still fails. No help from error message. Anyone have any ideas?

How, exactly, did you accomplish this?

TIA

I used psouza4 one click (un)root tool for windows,.
theres a button to root your phone, un root, temp root (i think), and the restore my system/apps/ button. Just clicked the restore button and did what it told me. (Its mentioned in the stickied ultimate room/rom thread under rooting/unrooting)

For some reason, mine didnt even attempt to do an OTA, ive already tried to force the update. Ill be honest, im reading horror stories about stuff not working right after the OTA anyways. I may have frozen something or broken admin or something, but as of now, i dont regret not getting the OTA, everything on my phone works like a charm, except webcam on flash sites, that probbably wasnt even addressed in the OTA anyways. If some epic thing im missing pops up, ill worry about it then.
