Root Rooted tbolt constantly restarting

Starting approximately two weeks ago, my phone began randomly shutting itself off.

I have been rooted since the day I got this phone over a year ago, and had been on the same rom (thunderstick) for months. This problem did not start until very recently.

I had hoped that switching roms would help, but it hasnt seemed to (switched to the new ICS rom from BAMF). I have 50%+ battery generally, then it will shut off and when I turn it back on, I can have anywhere from 0% to 50% left, and if the first time it shuts down it comes back with 25%, next time it could be 10, then 45 the time after that.

It will continuously shut itself off and keep doing so, whether I pull the battery or not seems to make no difference. It doesn't happen when I'm charging the phone..

It could be somehow linked to loss of 4g, as it seems to happen most often in a place thats built like a bunker, but it also happens in my house sometimes.

Any help, or ideas, or ANYTHING, would be greatly appreciated.

Have you been clearing your cache, dalvik cache, and battery stats? This might not be the issue, but it's a shot to ask.

Also, have you tried just running on 3g?

no, I have not. Cache/dalvik only gets cleared when I install a new rom, and battery stats I never even thought of clearing. However, I would assume that, since I did a full factory reset and formatted the card before installing this new ICS rom, it was all cleared. The problem recurred within two hours of installing the new rom, so I hesitate to lay the blame on those three things not getting cleared. I will, however, clear them and hope it will help. I appreciate the tip

Anyone else have any ideas on this?

Dumb question: You updated to the radios for ICS, right?

I believe this is the file you'd need if not.

Also, another user posted in this thread that enabling bluetooth caused reboots. Whether or not they're using the new radios I cannot say.

I can tell you that enabling bluetooth on mine (running BAMF ICS and new radios) does not cause reboots.

yes, I did. I did determine the issue. The battery had begun to swell and I failed to notice until after getting a warranty replacement phone. After replacing the battery, the issue disappeared.
