Root Rooted WFS - Can't add sync accounts

nigsy

Just flashed this ROM:

[ROM] Unofficial Cyanogenmod 7.2.0-RC1-marvel-KANG (UPDATE)

All went well but when I go to add accounts to set up Playstore etc, the only option I get is to set up an exchange mail account.

Been through the dev thread on XDA but can't find an answer. Normally when you install a ROM the first thing you do is sign into your google accounts but I can find no way of doing it on this ROM.

I have CM 7.1 and yes all I got as an uption was to sync emails. However, google play sync happened automatically to me. I didn't have to do anything....

For anyone having the same issue...go to the Cyanogenmod wikki and download the Gapps.zip for CM7:

Latest Version/Google Apps - CyanogenMod Wiki

Save to root of you SD....alomg with your CM7 ROM

Boot into recovery and do the usual wipes / cache / data / dalvik.

Reinstall the CM7 ROM

DO NOT REBOOT

Install the Gapps.zip

now reboot.

This will install the required permissions and on boot up you will be prompted to enter your Google account details.

Market now works and all options sync.

Hi please help me. I've the same problem as reported by nigsy. I've reinstalled the CM7 rom and when I try to install the Gapps.zip, it won't allow. it keep saying that google has disable this. now my rooted Nexus one can't login to any accounts. It only offer me set up an exchange mail account.

Please help me.

Have you flashed CM7 and gapps in the same go(Without rebooting in between)? Are you sure you have the right gapps version?

yea. Caro332 you are right. I've got the wrong gapps.zip format. I redo the whole flash process again and gapps.zip before the reboot and now it works fine! love it!!!

Thanksssssss
