Root Rooted

Finally took the plunge and unlocked my bootloader, flashed a kernel and now have root and cwm

Let the fun begin ha ha ha

Yep did mine this week too, currently testing the on screen buttons mod just like the nexus, i'm kinda liking it

Mine has the toggles for Internet etc when you pull the menu down.

I now have my titanium backup pro running again, ah how I missed it lol, cwm via advanced stock ics kernel 11, and a couple of my old apps that needed root.

clockwork is a recovery mod isn't it. might have to flash it as i will break the rom very soon

Yep it's a recovery to make nandroid backups, if you rooted with a custom kernel then you probably have it.

To see our you have restart your phone and when you see the Sony logo just keep pressing volume up repeatedly and you should go into recovery

wow you're right. so this recovery is NOT a kernel and is not a "ROM" so if i do something wrong when flashing kernels/roms i can revert by going to my backup. right? that's if this backups kernel, rom and firmware

It will backup your rom so you can restore back to a previous state if you stuff up but I'm not to sure about the kernel because cwm is part of the kernel

not sure but everyone says (on google) that is makes backup of kernel too. now i can try some more kernels, hopefully an overclocked kernel

Just read that, thanks, I new it made a complete system image backup but I just wasn't sure of the kernel.

Try the XsX kernel, I'm on that, seems nice.
Not over clocked it, just under clocked.

do you know if there is any kernel that can overclock atleast to 1.9 - 2.0 ghz

i just flashed that kernel and it doesn't have overclock

I think maybe the xss speed kernel allows over clocking to about 1.67

Just wanted to let you guys know that if you want to return to stock kernel just extract the kernel from your ftf with 7zip or winrar and flash it back in fastboot, and the best part is you retain root
