Root Rooting 101?

[Syv3n]

Can someone give me a rooting 101 class. I read the Wiki on it and I get the concept of what it is but I guess I don't really get how you guys do it? Can we get a tutorial on how to root? I see all the posts and I am sure it is in there but can we just get a specific thread on how to do this? When I do root is it simple to "over clock", "remove preinstalled apps", and "do things" in general with root? Thanks with any responses. I may have more questions later.

You need to go to the irc channel to talk to the devs and you can probably chat with one of them to find what you are looking for. I don't have time to post it but if you go to the page that is hosting root instructions and the files, a window is there to put you directly into root chat channel.

Glad you found it. So did you get some info in chat? The folks there are pretty nice and helpful.
