Root Rooting Acer Iconia A100 and Installing Latest Jelly Bean Version

How can I root the Acer Iconia A100 and where do I download the latest Jelly Bean 4.2 for the Acer Iconia A100?

Please help. I am a brand new "newbie" to Android tablets and just bought an Acer A100 off eBay last week. Frankly I do not know anything at all about the Android O.S. although I am very experienced with Windows and PC/MS DOS.
