Root rooting acer iconia a500

i have bean trying to root my acer iconia a500 all day. I am using gingerbreak. i think the problem is my sd card. i dont know how to mount it. How do i do this? i have left it for hours

I may be way off base here, but isn't Gingerbreak for phones running Gingerbread (2.3) and the Iconia runs Honeycomb (3.x)?

Have you checked Iconia a500 all-things-root?

Which version of Gingerbreak? You're using the modified version,correct?

Anyways, don't forget to disable USB debugging or else you won't be able to mount your tab to your computer.

Go to settings>applications>development then turn off USB debugging. Then your computer should recognize it and you can turn on USB mount on your tab.

(I'm assuming you're trying to get the apk on your sd card so you can install gingerbreak.)

Did you update your tab to 3.1? If so gingerbreak will not work, it will only work if your tab is still running 3.0.1, to double check what your tab is running go to settings and about tablet
