Rooting an Unlocked phone

I have the Samsung Galaxy S2. I recently had it unlocked, and was wondering if rooting the phone or updating any software would risk locking the phone again.

No, rooting the phone or putting on custom software will not relock your phone. Besides, any custom software you put on your phone will not have any carrier lock on it. But, an official software update will relock your phone.

Click thanks if I helped you.

my phone is running 2.3.3, so if i were to root the phone, would it relock if i install icecream sandwich on it?

It may relock if it is an official software update from the carrier.

Your best best is to download a ROM for your phone and never use the "check for software update" that is in your phones settings.
