Root rooting and battery life?

There are Apps that require being rooted that can help manage your battery life. Other than that rooting does not affect battery life.

Hey, do you like your mini? I'm thinking of buying one.

If you want a mini web enabled computer / toy, it's great - my 8 year old daughter loves it - but as a phone / music player / camera, IMHO it's crap.

I've owned numerous phones over the years, none of them have been particularly flash, but each has been better than the last at the basic functions. None of them deleted files at random, none of them rebooted a couple of times a day (including during phone calls) and none of them needed charging every 24 hours or after a couple of phone calls, but these are all standard functions of my X10 Mini.
Also it cannot be used as a modem for my laptop or transfer traffic data to my TomTom and auto-redialling busy numbers is not possible, unlike my previous (cheaper) non-Android phones.

Only 16 months of contract left, can't wait...
