Root Rooting and memory

Hi all,

I was sick of having very little phone memory, so I took the plunge and rooted my phone with the 'Unrevoked' program. It all seemed to go well and I now have the Superuser Permissions app (my understanding is that this app appears if the phone was successfully rooted).

I have moved every app that I can to my SD card, however I have the following issues:
1 - I still only have about 15mb of internal memory
2 - The pre-installed apps on my phone (the crap ones my phone provider put on there) can't be removed.

I've searched on this forum, and on the internet more generally, but I can't find an answer. If anyone out there has a suggestion I would be grateful.

Cheers.

Thanks very much for that. I used apps2sd to transfer the apps, but I'm afraid the post you directed me too is WAY over my head. If thats the only solution I might be stuck. Thanks for steering me in the right direction anyway.

all you need to do is partition your SD card and flash a custom rom (in simple terms)
