Root rooting & book notation question

i have a few books with notations that i use for school. does any know if i root my nook will i lose those notations or if there is away to save them?

I can't answer specifically about the notations, but I do know that rooting does not affect the your nook library at all, and you can still go into BN & use your free hour of reading and such. I would not be surprised if your notations stay in tact.
