Hi All,
It seems apparent that ROM Manager whilst seemingly a very helpful tool from it's description is still causing many issues in actual use.
For quite a long time now, ROM Manager has been seen to cause many problems when flashing ROM's usually resulting in boot loops and unsuccessful flashing etc.
It is far better practise to flash a ROM manually through recovery:
- Boot into recovery using (Power and Vol down)
- Go to Back up/Restore > Back up - let the phone run a full back up
- Clear Cache
- Clear Dalvik Cache
- Flash SuperWipe script - install from SD card (Found in the first post of this thread)
- Flash ROM - install from SD card
- Reboot
This method is far safer than using ROM Manger and if you choose not to take a back up before flashing then do so at your own risk!
