Lovely.

I uninstalled and reinstalled ROM Manager and it seems to be working now. Used it to add a 512mb partition, 0 swap to my SD card. Have installed Apps2sd via Clockwork Mod recovery. Is that right?

I use mini info to monitor my storage, would it be correct in saying that if I install stuff and the internal memory does not go down then its worked?

Yes, with A2SD+ enabled you should see your internal storage well above 100mb. It will still go down gradually though because apps' settings are stored there, just the apps themselves on the sdcard.
