Help Rooting help

So I just bought the Nexus today and I love it so far. My only issues are with rooting. I've been going through all the one click roots I could but so far none are working. The only thing I've got to work is unlocking the boot loader. For some reason every one click root just doesn't work and never goes further than saying daemon is working. Does anyone have any insight or help? Im dying to get my hands on ICS which was my primary reason for doing all this.

The reason a one click root does not work is because there is no need to exploit. You will need a few things after you have unlocked to obtain SU access. You need to get CWM ClockWorkMod Recovery installed on the device. Once you have CWM installed you can install the SU binary and superuser app.
