Root Rooting HTC EVO 4G help!

I am trying to root my HTC EVO 4G and I have tried every guide here and have been trying to for about a week now but all I want to use is the hotspot for a trip tomorrow I am at school now but is anyone willing to help? Maybe using team viewer to help me out in about 2 hours when I get home please.

I am on my phone now.
 
Of course we can help you. I need you to pull the battery out of the phone, put it back in and then hold power and volume down keys.

This will bring you to hboot. Tell us what hboot version you have. It should say 2.16 or 2.18 something along those lines

I would suggest MikG as well. It is what anyone new to rooting should flash. Its stable, fast, and has all kinds of bells and whistles like the hacked sprint hotspot and an upgraded version of the sense interface

Yes thats what I got I love it so much thanks guys! Took a few tries but I finally got it!
