I use Kubuntu Linux on my home computer and have been reading the tutorials and such for rooting the Fascinate. I don't want to just use the 1-click. I installed ADB and have confirmed that it can see my phone. The next step is to download the Samsung drivers, but they appear to be in a Windows only format. Do I need these drivers in a Linux format to proceed?
Also, for anybody else using ADB through Linux for the Fascinate, what does your android.rules udev file look like? I followed the instruction here: ADB - CyanogenMod Wiki but changed the Id vendor to 04e8 but wasn't sure about the ID product line. It seems to be working...
