Are there any negatives to rooting the Droid? Also, is it possible to unroot the phone per say? I would basically use rooting for better theming but I dont want to ruin my phone for future updates.
Afaik it's technically possible to unroot a android phone. As for our droids i'm not sure. The one big negative is you wont' be able to get OTA updates to your phone, you'll have to wait tell one is released via the "rooting" community that will work on your phone. Not getting ota updates is sorta a good thing if your phone is rooted as there is a chance it could brick your phone.
