Root Rooting phone/Selecting .dll

I'm at the part where you launch LGNPST, go to file>select>and are suppose to load the VM696.dll

Only problem is I'm unable to choose that. The only option there is utility5.dll

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Nevermind, searched the threads and found out I needed to register the .dll first. Now before I continue, does the DIAG need to be enabled for the flashing? Or will having it enabled **** it up?
