Im about to ditch sprint for greener pastures. Im an avid root user. I know this phone was recently released. I have also read that Verizon locks their phones down so we cant root. I see there has been some progress made with the original One. I dont want to lock myself into 2 years of non-rootable devices. Is there any chance that this device will be rootable?

You should be able to unlock using the HTC Dev method but I would wait till it is verified. As far as S-Off there is nothing yet but it will come soon enough.

i have a Sprint HTC One Max that I am trying to get either flashed to Cricket or Page Plus or SIM unlocked for Simple Mobile but when the device is connected to the computer, its not recognizing the device..... What can I do to the phone so that it is recognized by the comp???? PLEASE HELP!!!! IN DESPERATE NEED!!!!
