Root Rooting Problems with LG Optimus V from Virgin Mobile running Android 2.2.2: PLEASE HELP!!!

I was successful in rooting my other LG Optimus V running 2.2.2, but now that phone is broken. I received a replacement one from Virgin Mobile, and last time I rooted it, I used gingerbreak. I tried that now, and it doesn't work. I tried z4, it doesn't work either. does anyone have any suggestions? I really need that phone to be rooted. Mostly for the 3g hot spot.

You don't need to be rooted to enjoy the hotspot capabilities on the OpV. Simply purchase the MiFi Hotspot device, pay for the plan, and you're all set! Pretty neat huh?

Please keep all rooting-related issues in the All Things Rooted sub-forum!

These specific issues are unnecessarily confusing to the vast majority of (usually less tech-savvy) users whose phones are not rooted.

Thank you for this tiny, little courtesy, which nevertheless has a large impact!

Instead of insulting the non-rooted members thorsten, why not just report the post and ask a mod to move it?
