Root rooting problems.

How do i actually root the lg esteem. And what do i do after that what are the best.launchers.

Well it depends, if ure on the zvb firmware, than just follow this guide:

if ure on zvc, there is no root as of now.
you can always downgrade to zvb though. using this guide:

after that, you can flash a rom, there in the first link i posted.

there isnt a "best" launcher, but the four main ones that people use are Golauncher, adw, launcher pro, and ics launcher.
try them out and see which one is for you.

if your new to android i wouldn't recommend you trying anything to your phone until you know what rooting is and what are all the pro/cons of rooting your device, i would hate for you to mess up your phone.

I agree. I was reading up on rooting, flashing, ect for about 3 weeks before I got my Esteem. I still read up on it daily and I still feel like a newb regarding what everything is, does and means. All the abbreviations and acronyms are hard to keep up with for me. So far i'm only rooted and have CWR (ClockWorkRecovery). I'm still trying to figure out which ROM, Kernel and Themes to try first.
