Root Rooting question

I just have a question about warranty vs insurance. I have heard that rooting your phone will void your manufacturer warranty. How does this apply to insurance coverage.
I only ask if by some horrific chance the phone was to 'brick'

Probably depends on your policy but gross negligence and/or modifying the phone is not typically covered. But I think you already knew that.

I bought my phone from bed best buy. Their insurance is if anything whatsoever happens
to the phone they will replace it... cept lost
