Rooting S3 leads to USB connection problem?

Is everyone who's been having troubles connecting your Samsung Galaxy S3 phone to the PC also has a rooted phone? I have a hunch that it's rooting (i.e., a rooting method that's popular in these forums) that's causing the problem.

P.S. I did not have USB->PC connection problem until after I rooted my phone.

i had an issue before and after root for my computer detecting my S3.

the only workaround i was able to do is shut off the phone, plug everything in. then turn the phone on. and the computer will then detect it.

Try downloading the drivers again mate.
Im rooted n rom'd but only connection error i get is with the Kies programme coz its crap

Same but a couple of times ive had to reinstall kies and reboot the pc.
Now i just use Odin. Samsung can bite me lol
