Root Rooting the HTC Legend

I have a HTC Legend with GTBOOT 1.01 and I need to root it so I can install nandroid etc.

How can I root a phone with this version of GTBOOT?

The guides I have seen here seem to be for older versions of GTBOOT etc..

Hey everyone. I just "successfully" rooted my htc legend, though I am having issues such as NO INTERNET. When i turn it on no "H" or anything shows up. Also, when i tried doing recovery through theunlockr way it showed up as the exclaimation point screen instead of the recovery menu. Help please?

it was plugged into the computer and you were clicking on the recovery.bat (Windows)/ recovery.sh (Mac) right?
