I know, me either, and I can't get this other method to work because I have no idea how to open or run that POOT file.
desktop said:but when I click the POOT all I get is "Windows can't open this file....Poot-debug(W100).apk....to open this file, Windows needs to know what program to use to open it."
v2 not working for me at all after a dozen tries, what gives???
poot has to be run on the phone, not on your computer, just like the rest of the files. Have you tried that? The apk extension is for android applications. There is a reason it's called an on-phone rooting method.
been wurkin on this htdro for days, literally......it took the v2 and the usb driver was for wireless abd.....whatever works, much thanks to u and the whole forum, this place is a goldmine of info if u know how to use it!:smokingsomb: next to tackle the old warp!please help
All right, that was definitely a brain freeze, lol. I just plugged my phone into the computer and dragged/dropped POOT into the downloads folder. Doh! They should mention this in the guide for old idiots like me, lol.
Anyway, I got POOT to run and my phone is now rooted. Only issue is Superuser
