Root Rooting the LTE version

No different from any other version. Best way to do it is to bootloader unlock, install a custom recovery, and flash a root package.
 
Yep, just make sure you get a custom recovery meant for Deb and not Flo. SU binaries and fastboot drivers should be the same though.
